My Doba Review

 In this section of My Doba Review I want to talk about the pricing of their items. As I stated in a previous post about Doba I mentioned that there are hundreds of pages to go through and unless you spend your time doing nothing but researching products it might be impossible to look at everything during a 7 day free trial.

At first I was going through each category and looking at all items, but then I got smart and started narrowing my search, please keep in mind this will still probably contain many pages of items you don't want, unless you are super specific about the product anything that contains even a glimmer of that name will also be included in the search.

In most cases I wouldn't even bother with looking at companies that charge a monthly fee to be a member but Doba is so large that I had to see what was so great about them.

I researched things from books to T.V's and found that Doba does have some pretty good deals compared to the MSRP of the items. I started by taking names of some items and doing a search on auction sites like ebay and doing a keyword search through Google and Yahoo. I found one electronic item that sold in Doba for less than half of the retail price and of course it was less than the auction sites. I found Doba to have reasonable shipping fees associated with their items but there is an additional Dropship Fee that is charged its not usually much a couple or three dollars per item, but not every item has one.

Back to pricing. After looking at items on ebay and calculating what the Ebay and Paypal fees would probably be and then minus what's left over to actually get the item from Doba and have it sent to your customer I'm not sure $49.95 a month Doba charges is woth it. There is so much competition for the really popular items and the auction price would have to be so low I'm not sure I want to have sell 10 or 15 items just to break even.

I think Doba might suit a regular Online Store or a Brick and Mortar store at least then you have more control of what you charge and can evaluate the profit margin a little closer.
